Paul Roma faces off with fellow Italian, Savatore Bellomo, who continues to dish out the punishment on the passive muscle-man. Which one will turn out to be the bigger jobber and lose the match?
Paul Roma faces off with fellow Italian -- Savatore Bellomo. Roma may be in better shape, but that doesn't stop Bellomo from gaining the upper hand and dishing out some brutality.
One of the greatest Heel tag teams of all time simply own the always-helpless George South. Curtis Thompson is there too, but the bad guys wisely keep him outside the ring so they can focus on the weaker opponent.
The other "Nature Boy," Buddy Landell, out-wrestles a buff jobber named Rocky King. Will those muscles do any good for Mr. King, or will the Nature Boy finish him off with the good old Figure 4 Leglock?
The "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer shows his little brother, Brett Wayne Sawyer, how to beat up some jobbers. Brett pats his big brother like he really is a dog.
The Nature Boy Ric Flair easily destroys this jobber in short order, then slaps on his patented Figure Four Leglock, which he refuses to release even after the bell. I think about half the clip is Flair with the Figure Four locked on, grinding on maximum pressure as the jobber screams for mercy. Flair was always entertaining when he visited the studio to work over some rookie.
From Georgia Championship Wrestling, Bruiser Brody wrestles "Hollywood" John Tatum, looking flamboyant in bright pink trunks. Usually Brody would just bulldoze the competition, but in this match, Tatum is able to apply some holds and take the advantage a few times.
In this second half of the match, Tommy Rogers takes a beating from "Beautiful" Bobby and "Lovable" Dennis. Poor Tommy plays the baby-face in peril (as usual) and the brutal heels keep him on their side of the ring to deliver a series of stiff kicks and crushing blows. Can Tommy make the hot tag, and can the Fantastics avoid contact from the Midnight Express manager's dreaded tennis racket?
