Adele, a 6 month old english bulldog pup rescued by Chicago English Bulldog Rescue, eagerly awaits the opening of a package that arrived in the mail for her. The contents will change her life....watch her excitement.
Adele, a 6 month old english bulldog pup rescued by Chicago English Bulldog Rescue, approves of her new surprise present -- a brand new set of wheels! She suffers from spina bifida and has trouble getting around. We have been waiting forever for these and are so excited to give them a test drive!
Adele's wheels are "in the shop" so we retrofitted her standing sling with wheels and some extra support and are using it to try to get her to move all fours. It worked! She went up and down the sidewalks of Logan Square today. Woo hoo Adele!
Who would have thought this day would come so soon! Adele completed her first walk outside. Since she arrived in the middle of winter, she hasn't been able to be outside other than coming to/from her appointments. But for the first time she experienced the big, big world on her own front feet. We are so excited we can hardly contain ourselves!
Look at this little girl go! She is doing such a great job under the care of Dr. Ridley and her therapists Emma and Jeanine at Integrative Pet Care. Unbelievable determination in this little lady!
These 2 bullies are some of Chicago English Bulldog Rescue's Project Hope puppy mill rescues. They are getting to know each other outside the world of cages for the first time.
