There isn't enough room for everyone, so there's some shoving and squabbling as everyone tries to take a turn in the birdbath. This happens around 4pm every day.

Here's a peaceful little video of a baby song thrush, learning to preen his wings while sitting on the compost bin. Our back garden has become a baby bird daycare center while parents go off to find bugs. The babies don't seem to have any fear of people yet. At one point he loses his balance and almost falls in the bin.
I had scarf and akin osteotomies on 10 May 08. The surgeon put in 3 screws, which keep the bones in place while they heal so I don't need a cast. Stitches come out on the 27th of May.
