Ever use a stove in the snow in winter? You have to make some kind of platform, or dig down so the stove doesn't disappear into the snow. This video shows using a "snowshoe" for your stove, even a very hot stove. Now you can carve a shelf out of a snowdrift to cook on if you want to. Need a knot that can really bind things down, and still be easy to adjust and undo, this is it, the Trucker's Knot.
