One of the greatest Heel tag teams of all time simply own the always-helpless George South. Curtis Thompson is there too, but the bad guys wisely keep him outside the ring so they can focus on the weaker opponent.
The "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer shows his little brother, Brett Wayne Sawyer, how to beat up some jobbers. Brett pats his big brother like he really is a dog.
The Nature Boy Ric Flair easily destroys this jobber in short order, then slaps on his patented Figure Four Leglock, which he refuses to release even after the bell. I think about half the clip is Flair with the Figure Four locked on, grinding on maximum pressure as the jobber screams for mercy. Flair was always entertaining when he visited the studio to work over some rookie.
From Georgia Championship Wrestling, Bruiser Brody wrestles "Hollywood" John Tatum, looking flamboyant in bright pink trunks. Usually Brody would just bulldoze the competition, but in this match, Tatum is able to apply some holds and take the advantage a few times.
In this second half of the match, Tommy Rogers takes a beating from "Beautiful" Bobby and "Lovable" Dennis. Poor Tommy plays the baby-face in peril (as usual) and the brutal heels keep him on their side of the ring to deliver a series of stiff kicks and crushing blows. Can Tommy make the hot tag, and can the Fantastics avoid contact from the Midnight Express manager's dreaded tennis racket?
The powerful Tag Team of Terry Gordy and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka beat up a couple workaday jobbers in Keith Larson and Denny Brown. Gordy and Snuka are so much larger and more vicious, it isn't really a fair fight. First they try to break Larson's arm for most of the match, then they finish off Brown with the good old splash off the top rope followed by a neck-snapping Pile Driver.
WHOOO! The Nature Boy looks like a rock star with his long platinum blond hair and fancy pink robe. Flair gives jobber Ken Timbs a nice slow beating with plenty of armlocks, a toss out to the floor, and finishes him off with... well, you'll see. Timbs is out-classed and out-wrestled.
The masked Superstar wasn't often over-powered in the ring, but young, muscular Bruce Reed (later known as Butch Reed) is pumped up and determined to win. Reed looks too thick and strong in his light colored gear and the masked man ducks out of the ring a few times to catch his breath. One of the wrestlers gets put to sleep in the end, starting at 7:31.
From Central States Wrestling. Young Marty Jannetty wants to win his Central States Championship Belt back from beefy Brett Sawyer. Both scientific wrestlers grow more and more frustrated and their tactics get rougher. They surprise each other with some stiff punches and other questionable moves.
