This is my first U-part. 18 inches. 4 on the bottom and 2 on the top. I have it installed for a week with a side part. Took it down a reinstalled it as a middle part the 2nd week. I still have the hair and it is in pretty decent shape. I washed it with cold water and herbal essences shampoo before reinstalling it.
Ortho replaced top wire because I broke it. Also power chains on the top were replaced and a new one added on the bottom right. Forgot to mention I have a wire/metal tie from my back molars to my front ones.
